I know it’s early for baseball talk, but shout outs must go to the legendary old man: Jamie Moyer. The 49-year old with “lots of grey” from Sellersville, PA accomplished a rare feat yesterday that many 47 year old men would never dream of, winning a major league game. In his 689 career games pitched, Moyer has pitched over 4,000 innings and has over 2400 K’s. This guy deserves a moment of silence before every game he pitches because he’s still effective and is older than some managers in the league (Mike Matheny- STL Cards). According to Pitch F/X, Moyer didn’t hit over 80 on the radar gun but only let up 6 hits and 2 unearned runs. Meanwhile, Aroldis Chapman throws close to 110 mph and he’s finding himself riding more pine than on the bump. Lastly on the MLB topic, it’s always interesting to see Bobby V. come out and say some stupid remarks that end up showing how absurd he actually is. His latest victim, Kevin Youklis, who he determined is “weird” and “strange” in his approach to the game of baseball. I don’t think that’s anyway to lead a clubhouse but what do I know?
